Official “Fast Six” Synopsis!

Universal has just released the official synopsis for the new film the series, which is scheduled for theatrical release this May! Here it is:

Since Dom and Brian’s Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete. Meanwhile, Hobbs has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty. The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

Who else is looking forward to seeing this in May? Fast Six starts in theaters on May 24, 2013!

Ketchup Entertainment Acquires Vehicle 19

Here’s the article:

Ketchup Entertainment acquired the action thriller Vehicle 19, which stars The Fast And The Furious topliner Paul Walker, Naima McLean, Gys de Villiers, Leyla Haidarian, and Tshepo Maseko. It was directed by Retribution’s Mukunda Michael Dewil (Retribution). Ryan Haidarian and Peter Safran produced and Walker and Eddie Mbalo are exec producers. Walker plays a recent parolee who unwittingly picks up the wrong rental vehicle after a long flight. He soon realizes that he is the target of an entire police force after discovering the tied-up female “passenger” in the trunk. Pic will be released in June.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Mukunda and Paul. We are looking forward to launching this movie across multiple platforms, and believe this high adrenaline thriller will be embraced by audiences everywhere,” says Gareth West, Ketchup Entertainment’s CEO. UTA’s Rena Ronson made the deal with Ketchup CEO Gareth West and Head of Acquisitions Stephen Stanley with Rena Ronson of UTA. Ketchup has funded several films including the BBC pic Lost Christmas. It established a domestic distribution division last May with ARC Entertainment.
